There's a new trend in Great Britain in 2019: lots of people have become vegan for January. A vegan is a person who does not eat meat (like beef, chicken and fish), dairy (like milk, cheese and butter) or eggs. This movement is called "Veganuary" (vegan + January). Being vegan is said to be healthy and good for the planet - as well as being kind to animals! So why give up these foods for just one month? Veganuary.com explains that many people would like to be vegan but they think it would be too difficult. They say that, by trying it for one month, they will see it is easy and delicious to eat only vegetables, fruit, nuts and grains. What do you think? Could you survive without meat and cheese for a month?
