Yesterday the British Prime Minister, Theresa May, wrote a letter to the EU officially starting Britain’s exit from Europe (“Brexit”). The process of leaving will take around two years. The British government will now have to negotiate new agreements with each of the 27 member states in Europe. Until they are finished, the future for Europeans in Britain and Britons in Europe remains uncertain. When the President of the European Council, Donald Tusk, received Theresa May’s letter, he replied, “"We already miss you. Thank you and goodbye."
