Walt Disney was born in 1901 in Chicago. He was good at drawing and took art classes as a boy. He then studied at the Art Institute of Kansas City and at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He moved to Los Angeles in the 1920s and founded the company Disney Studios. His films and cartoons delighted many generations of children. He also created the famous character Mickey Mouse and built several amusement parks. Walt Disney died of lung cancer in 1966 at only 65 years old.
