A study shows that mice who were injected with a protein that kills worn-out cells can live up to 27% longer. So what does this mean for humans? We would, of course, all like to live longer, however this isn't a safe treatment yet and there will most likely be side effects: the study shows that humans also need some worn-out cells in order to repair wounds. The mice who got the injection did not heal well. Also, there are a lot more factors related to ageing. So for now, we won't be "forever young"!
